Emery has a new trick. She has an amazing ability to not poop for days and then
explode.
EEEXXXPLOOODDEE! Levi has been a real trooper changing many of these diapers. It happens on a weekly basis if not more. If anyone has any tricks to get stains such as these out of clothes be sure to let me know. I've decided
I'm just going to have to start dressing her in dark clothes
until these
shenanigans stop.
oh my heck! haha that is sooo disgusting and so funny at the same time! props to you lev and nice work on taking a picture - perfect for the wedding slideshow one day!
ReplyDeleteoh my, Norah was a pro at this exact same thing. But she didn't hold it in for a day, she did it EVERY time she went. Great. Try oxi-clean, or the dreft stain remover. I've also heard that putting them out in the sun (if there is sun!) helps take the yellow out, just like putting a jaundice baby in the sun helps with the yellow in their skin. . . meh? it's worth a try, I guess. I threw away a lot of onesies. . . lol.
ReplyDeleteoh my!! those are the worst!! I would definitely go with oxi-clean, i pretty much had clothes soaking in oxi-clean every night of Chloe's newborn life. works like a charm!
ReplyDeleteGood work Em, what a great new trick you've learned to welcome your Mom and Dad to Parenthood. lol. I would say go with the oxi clean and try to keep her in a onesies under her close so that gets most of it but it looks like this runny stuff gets through all her layers. Good luck, ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteCaleb was a pro-star at that too. His specialty was shooting it up to his neck and out his collar. Good times. My vote is also for Oxi Clean, though it might take a couple of applications or more. Treat it as soon as you can. Don't put a stained item in the dryer until you get it clean, as the heat will just set the stain. Also, using Amaze, a detergent booster, also works really well, both for a soak and added to the detergent during the wash.
ReplyDeleteWow, way to go Em; gold medal in the poop-athalon! As for the Oxi clean...you might consider getting the Costco size, looks like you'll be using it!
ReplyDeletep.s. I know they're way more expensive, but huggies seemed to work better on Hallie than pampers or the other brands we tried as far as blow-outs go...then again I'm not sure Hallie was as great a champ as Emery is!
ReplyDeleteYou may want to switch diaper brands or get a bigger size. I can't say this ever happened with any of mine. Yes, they leaked, but never that bad! And we just always used Parent's Choice diapers from Walmart. Maybe put plastic pants on her too if it's an especially cute outfit.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I immediately thought of the wedding video too!!
