Edmonton Trip

Well we just returned home from our Edmonton adventure to visit the Tolmans. We had so much fun with our late night ice-cream, movies, hottubbing, shopping, and games. Not to mention the great company! :) Emery was a wonderful traveling buddy which made the trip that much better. Emery is fascinated with the little bears on her toes. She gets a big grin on her face and i always think its for me but then realize she is just smiling at her friends on her toes.

I think we have the happiest baby on earth. She was such a GREAT shopper. We wouldn't be paying attention to her and she still would be cooing up at us and smiling away. No fussing for this little shopper. I had so much fun finding new clothes. It was a perfect day.

Levi is the driver of this stroller. I'm afraid I've never been a good driver of anything....

Sometimes i feel like we are just two kids in love. Then i realize...thats exactly what we are.
Emery's Aunt Alaina was such a good helper. She jumped for joy when i told her she could babysit in the basement when Levi and i played some games. Happy helpers are the best kind around.
I look at this picture and i am reminded that Levi will possibly never stop being a goof. like Father, like son. Something to look forward to i guess. haha.

lil' mommy

Taylee, Our niece, is one of the many mommies that Emery has. Taylee has always love playing mommy but I've never seen her be so affectionate with a baby like the way she is with Em. When i told her i was pregnant with a little girl she told me she would take good care of her and be best friends with her. So far she is sticking to that promise. It's so fun to watch!

I left the room for a few minutes and when i returned i found Taylee reading Emery stories and has snugly placed a stuffed gingerbread girl under her arm. I found it funny she didn't choose the gingerbread boy instead. She is going to be such a good babysitter.

Its weird seeing all these kids i remember holding as babies now holding my baby. Everyone around us is growing up so fast!

poop on the poop deck

Emery has a new trick. She has an amazing ability to not poop for days and then explode. EEEXXXPLOOODDEE! Levi has been a real trooper changing many of these diapers. It happens on a weekly basis if not more. If anyone has any tricks to get stains such as these out of clothes be sure to let me know. I've decided I'm just going to have to start dressing her in dark clothes until these shenanigans stop.

piggy toes

Little piggy toes make me smile. They make me smile even more when they are painted hot pink! Having a little girl allows me to come up with all sorts of activities. We already had the dress up and hair styling down so i thought the next step would be her toe nails. As you can see I'm sure she enjoys our "girl time" just as much as me.

She had such tiny toe nails I only needed a small drop of polish for each one. It was tricky, but worth it. She was so patient and sat there so nicely for her mommy.

The finished product. I'm glad she enjoyed the whole experience because I'm sure it is going to happen a few more times. I have lots of colors to try out!

swing, sway, and glide

Introducing the simply splendid stylish swing! 2 speeds, 5 songs, and the cutest turtles to look at. Who ever invented this creation gets 5 gold stars. Emery spends countless hours (awake and asleep) in her new swing from her aunt Lana. I actually have time to shower these days! I think everyone is excited about that.
Now who ever has a fussy tired baby, i suggest you hurry on over and use this magical wonder. It will settle your little bundle or I'll owe you a batch of cookies! I'm starting to think i might need to be the Fisher-price swing-n-rocker's new spokes person.
