Hippity Hoppity

2FAMILY7-011
Easter was quite the shindig this year. It all began with a Hot crossed bun, naming painted eggs Glen, and the hunt for a basket of giggles. It finished with a bang, 5 extra pounds, and chocolate fondue.  Our little family is growing, and I realized this was the last Easter with just the 3 of us. It was special.  We had fun.  Emery finally was old enough to enjoy the festivities and before we know it, there will be another nugget waiting excitedly to grow up too.

Big thanks to Grandma Peterson for the Easter outfit.  We love any excuse for a photo shoot.  Emery felt like a princess as she twirled and patted her new dress with love.

We. Are. Itchy!

Did you know, in the English Dictionary, the definition of itchy is to have a restless desire?  Us kids are always itchy.  Itchy for change, improvement, and the smell of paint.  A $17.00 can of paint can make a difference in a home even the itchiest scratcher would love.  Ah, and it looks as good as it feels.

After!…Grey Tweed. What a marvellous color. That one magical can of paint did 3 coats of 2 bathrooms, the wall on top of the stairs, AND, a feature wall in our bedroom.  Holy Houdini!

I didn’t have before pictures of our bedroom or downstairs bathroom, but for heaven sakes, i would rather not remember the past and focus on the present.  But NOW that I’m thinking about the past, this is one of the last pictures taken of our darling kitten and the box of crackers and crunchy peanut butter before i gobbled them up. Jokes, I only ate the peanut butter crackers.  Best late-night-painting-treat ever! They taste just like the mini peanut butter Ritz sandwiches except pregnant sized and with crunchy peanut butter!  Crunchy is always better than smooth. Great, now i need another snack…*ahem* back to the sickly kitten… Our Oscar found a lovely new home with money to take care of his sad self. Bless his little heart.  We miss him dearly.

Festivities

We stay busy, us Tolmans, and haven't had a lick of time (or energy) to blog. I have 20 minutes before my next batch of hooligans come over for a sit so I'm going to make this snappy. Snappy is a fun word isn't' it? Makes me want fresh garden peas. We have really enjoyed our outdoor moments lately. We have a dainty park around the corner, but our favorite park is the one by Henderson Lake. No rocks, tar chunkies, or sand. Just a mat sort of deal that is perfect for Emery's miniature sized feet. There is even a section at the park that is made for chicklets like Em with lowered interactive toys. She loved it!

Em loves her independent walks. If we get to close she takes off running. Its a delicate procedure keeping this crazy one at bay.

Emery loves cheese and watching for her Daddy to come home, and the cat loves my hair. We live an eventful life.
Emery worked on her eyeliner while i spruced up her hair. She is even wearing a smear of lip gloss to top off the look. She can't wait to grow up and secretly (stupidly) I can't wait to see her skip downstairs wearing my makeup and perfume. Girls are just too fun!

There is always a family festivity popping up and we were excited be able to celebrate AJs birthday with him. Emery loves each and every one of her cousins, but A.J and her and become quite the buds. Its nice to know Emery can hang with the boys since girls seem to be in short supply. (Until Summer that is!) The Birthday festivities included Grandma, whipped cream, tooting horns, flying candy, presents, cake, bubbles, and a poop in the bath. A.J.'s birthday present, with love, from Emery.
