Slowly plugging along!

Woohoo! Progress on the baby room, how exciting! The bedskirt is now complete to match the curtains, which is looking super adorable. Then i have pretty much completed the babies quilt. The ruffle around the edges was a nightmare to do and took forever, but as you can see it defiantly pays off. Our baby room has slowly turned into our favorite pride and joy...and it's not even finished yet!!
This would be my favorite before and after project. Unfortunatly we don't have a before picture. This dresser was on its way to the dump but my mom and I rescued it with lots of sanding, cleaning, and really thick paint! It really has turned into quite the perfect baby dresser and looks great in the room.

Kiss the Cook

I'm happy to announce i've figured out Levi's hidden tallent. He is the most amazing cook, and i hope to milk it for all its worth. I got a new crockpot from my cooking class and it works wonderfully. Levi made chicken and dumpling stew to break it in. It tasted great and the left overs tasted even better. Lucky lucky me.

Prenatal classes

Well this weekend was booked off for prenatal classes, what a treat! We dressed in our comfortable clothes and got our two pillows ready as instructed. Not really sure why they needed the pillows for teaching purposes, so i sat on them on the chairs for extra padding. During our prenatal classes we realized we were by far the youngest ones there which was apparent by not just our age. We got the giggles a couple of times and who would have thought old pregnant people were so serious! But who knows...maybe they are the normal ones and we are just two silly goons.

"Nesting"

We are realizing how great having a two bedroom place really is and are so glad that we have moved. The "nesting" process is going great...for the BOTH of us. Levi got to pick the colors of the walls for the baby room, and did a fantastic job with painting the room. The green is looking great with the bedding i am making with my mom. We still have quite a bit to do to get the baby room ready but i thought i would give you all a sneak peak. I made the brown poke-a-dot curtain and will be using the same fabric for the dust ruffle around the crib. Then the bumper pads are going to be dark brown big bows and a green ruffle. So throw in the baby quilt i am making to match the whole shabam and WA LA, Emery's room! exciting! exciting! exciting!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving, or any holiday for that matter, gets a little crazy at the Bissett household so Levi and I find ourselves hiding out in the basement. Our hiding spot has not proven itself to be very secretive because there is usually a bundle of little kids seeking us out. Levi didn't seem to mind because a good rock out on rock band is always fun with the older kids. And Since Mckaya and Hunter are quite a bit better than me,and i could avoid the embarrassment, i didn't mind playing with the abundance of toys with Benson and Tristan. Me and Benson just came to the conclusion " cool kids don't play video games".

A Shimmering star

I get the giggles every time i see these pictures so i couldn't help but put them in. Levi got chapped lips for once in his life the other day and i threw him a chap stick I'd never opened. Well to both of our surprises it was a sparkly pink lip gloss. I couldn't stop laughing and had to take a picture. Cute, don't you think.

"Aunt Hayley, Your FAT!"

I've realized lately that i can no longer hide my baby bump (which is probably a good thing since i am going to be 34 weeks in a few days) The sad part is that the way i came to this realization is when our nephew Benson Yelled across the room "AUNT HAYLEY YOUR FAT!" which was soon joined with a choir of the little voices, belonging to the rest of the kids, agreeing with him. Yes i guess you could say I'm "getting fat". I am actually quite surprised how comfortable i am. My 25 sit ups a day have now turned to 50, so besides the fact i can't really get myself out of the bathtub and i only have one pair of pants i fit into Ive never felt better.
The pictures consist of the last few months. Green pants- beginning of 7 months, Blue hoodie- beginning of 6 months, and finally a normal big pregnant black belly was taken at 32 weeks.

School

Well since I've started my maternity/sick leave I really have no reason why I should be such a terrible blogger. So much has been happening and it seems like we are leaving everyone out of the excitement, so here you go folks...round two to look for a blogging addiction!
Levi has been the busy boy getting into the swing of school. We were excited to find him a new school outfit and take his "first day of school pictures." (I think he looks rather charming). He likes school but i have to admit i have to stop myself from hiding his school books for attention. :)
