Happy Birthday

July2011 (24)July2011 (28)july1July2011 (32)July2011 (40)*Ahem* Mee Mee Mee Mee, La La La la la la la.  Ok, *Ahem*. Here we go.

“Happy Birthday to youuuuu, Happy Birthday to youuuuu, Happy Birthday Mr. Presi…uh…Canada! Happy Birthday to you!”

…your welcome.

julyWe are a stickler on tradition as you can see, with Benson taking the "little yellow motorcycle" pirate style! I do believe I rode it once or twice in my day. Mckaya, 4 wheeled in the parade like the reble she is. To bad we couldn't see her with all that camoflauge. july3

We watched a parade once. It was in Raymond, on our country’s birthday. How marvellous.  It happened to be Emery’s first parade, and she loved every minute of it. Who wouldn’t? Free candy and we’re there!

Busy Bee

june114-018Look at that face. Guilty guilty guilty! I try being a good Mom, really I do. But sometimes I do silly things…like let Emery play with a million tiny beads. It was a proud moment, watching my little lady play with prized crafts of my past. Just as I brought the camera to my eye to snap a picture, I was stuck in a pregnant nightmare. Confetti! It’s a party! Rainbow! Sprinkles! A GIANT MESS!  Have you seen our carpet? Its fluffier than my hair and hides a mess even better.  Holy Hannah. I’m still finding beads to this day. Actually, I see one right now. Darn you pink sparkle bead.  june115-019

Our girl may be a tornado, destroying everything in her path, but she can’t resist a good project.  I cracked open a soda and watched my busy bee work. Ahhh, How refreshing.  Is it bad I find joy in a good punishment?

Emery saved a couple beads for herself. Sneaky twinkie. I found this little set up while Emery was jumping on her couch later in the day. I can now sleep well at night knowing not just my babies are well fed, but Emery’s are as well.

Art is Knowledge

Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, step aside!  There’s been new talent found.  Developing best with highlighters and finger paints while also enjoying chalk pastels and wax crayons. Introducing ‘art-ing’ at its best, Emery Elise.

If drawing a masterpiece isn’t enough, she also explores the deconstruction side of mastery. Splendid. Simply splendid.

Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.  ~Pablo Picasso
