Did your mom ever call you a goofus on the roofus? Mine did, almost everyday. I consider myself lucky. Not only because we have our own goofous, but because this little goofy roofy looks just like me! For crying in the beer bucket, when did this little lady grow up? I never thought our wee big eyed beauty would ever be running around naked with clothes on her head, rolling and thrashing about, pretending she is a baby. She is a wonder. And so am I. Did anyone else just realize I’m a mom, or am I the only one surprised? Holy wonder bread. I love the stuff. Anyways! Back to Emery Elise. Did I mention her snug as a bug in a rug cuddles these days? AUGH! Heavens to Betsy. Warm macaroni and cheese. Dryer sheets and Costco samples. They are smashing. Everyday is great with this golden gal. Love her. We can’t believe that in two shakes of a dead lambs tail there will be another snuggle bundle in our family. We are about ready to jump out of skin with excitement. Oh crazy daisy, it’s past my bedtime and I've stopped making sense. But, making sense is overrated anyways. Night Good.

Rainy days and Mondays
Well I don’t know about you, Karen Carpenter, but rainy days and Mondays sure don’t get us down! Actually they get us up. Those raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens are not only a few of my favorite things, but little reminders that a good puddle jumping is just a sniffle away. Emery is taking it easy these days in her size-to-big rubber boots and size-to-small rain coat. She doesn’t seem to mind except when her boots trip her up and she is stuck flattened to the sidewalk because her coat wont let her bend. I laugh, she cries, its some kind of wonderful. Got to love hand me downs. I can only imagine how many beds her boots have been under. After our obladi oblada outside we snuggled up to some of our cherished happy little baby songs. We sang about friends, and the people we know. We sang about the places we go, about the world and the places we see, and we even sang about you and me. So just remember…Its a wonderful day, to go out and play, hey maybe you can come along. All you need to bring is a song to sing, a happy little baby song.

Hippity Hoppity

Easter was quite the shindig this year. It all began with a Hot crossed bun, naming painted eggs Glen, and the hunt for a basket of giggles. It finished with a bang, 5 extra pounds, and chocolate fondue. Our little family is growing, and I realized this was the last Easter with just the 3 of us. It was special. We had fun. Emery finally was old enough to enjoy the festivities and before we know it, there will be another nugget waiting excitedly to grow up too.

Big thanks to Grandma Peterson for the Easter outfit. We love any excuse for a photo shoot. Emery felt like a princess as she twirled and patted her new dress with love.
